While I did manage to start my Xmas shopping today, I've accomplished a whole lot of nothing else. I put my extra hour of daylight savings to good use. Sleeping.
“High School Musical 3: Senior Year” not only topped the box office this weekend with $42 million, it also broke the record for the biggest debut for a musical beating out “Mamma Mia’s” $27.8 million, and the record of biggest debut of a live-action G-rated movie previously held by “Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert”.
Yay HSM! Guaranteeing years of crappy spin offs to follow. I'm not really surprised by the record breaking though. After all, I did my part going to see it opening weekend.
