I deleted my facebook.

It took 3 days before anyone noticed. Funny that. This post isn't about that though. It is about how when you "delete" your facebook, nothing is actually deleted. It just lays dormant on the servers until you feel like logging back in later.
That's not right.
So I sent an email to the customer service peeps politely asking them to remove me from the servers. Got a nice prompt response letting me know that it would be near impossible to actually remove all my information because it is scattered in bits and pieces across the servers. I guess this is their way to account for not deleting things like various wall posts on other peoples wall/group walls/event walls. Fair enough. They then inform me that I can make things go faster by logging in myself and deleting information from my account. That when I had finished that, let them know and they would remove my login from the system. Again, fair enough. I emailed back to say that I had already removed all the info and please delete me post haste.
I got another email to tell me that it appeared I still had wall posts and confirmed friends on my account. WTF. I humoured you guys (aka I don't trust you guys) by taking down the rest of my information myself. Piece by piece. There are hundreds of posts on my wall. It's probably going to take hours to get rid of them all. I was willing to invest that time though. Mostly because I figured it would be easier than writing back and arguing about it. I go to log in again and the reactivation is invalid.
Thanks facebook. You have essentially just told me that the only way to delete all my info is to do it myself, but that I'm no longer allowed to log in to do so. I KNOW YOU HAVE A MAGIC DELETE BUTTON ON YOUR END. USE IT.

ETA: Another ONTD post. Because I know you guys care so much.
