Brutality
I can believe how competitive intramural basketball can be. Both of the teams I play on, co-rec and womens, made it to the playoffs so I've had a lot of games this week. I've also gotten hurt quite a bit this week. Wednesday, I sprained my finger and got poked really, really hard in my eye. It still hurt yesterday. Last night I played in two games. During the first one, I got elbowed really hard on the forehead and ended up with a big lump there. The second game I got manhandled and can barely move my neck today. I'm not the only one that got hurt, though. One of the other girls on my team got stabbed above her eye with the nails of another girl. She ended up having to get stiches, it was so deep.
So other than that, I'm just peachy. We lost the co-rec championship last night, but I'm in the women's championship Sunday night. I hope we win. I want one of those intramural champions t-shirts sooooo bad.
My plans for the weekend: work, work and more work. I have to mow my dad's lawn tomorrow, I work at Limited Too Sunday afternoon, I work at Alpha babysitting Sunday night, and I have a paper due Monday night. It's gonna be a busy and unrelaxing weekend. I hate weekends like this. I need the time to relax, but it's not gonna happen. Oh well. In a few weeks, Chris and I are gonna go spend the whole day in San Francisco. We're gonna go to the Exploratorium and Fisherman's Wharf and Ghiradelli Square and spend some much needed time together. I can't wait! I just hope I'll be able to get the time off of work. :( They never seem to remember requests when it comes time to do the schedule. That's one reason why I'm looking for a new job. That and then fact that I'm getting almost zero hours. My last check was for a whopping $37. It's not even worth wasting the paper to print the check. Luckily I have my library job so I have some income coming in.
So Mike, since you have all that titty bar money saved up that you're not using, why don't you just give it to me! I mean, I am your favorite cousin and all, right? :-)
