Driving Test, Take 2

Nov 15, 2005 13:19

It occurs to me that there's something mildly pathetic about being legally able to buy alcohol and not having the ability to drive to the store to buy any. That being said, today on my class break, I decided to schedule another driving test. I'm a little bit afeared to be sure b/c the earliest one I could get was in Athens and we all know how the mean lady in the polyester uniform ruined my life last time. This time, I'll just wear a really low-cut shirt and Liz's Ipex and pray I get a man to administer the test to me. Nah. I'll just start practicing again so if you see me driving anywhere in Athens, give me plenty of room. And be prepared to go SLOWLY if you're behind me. I drive like someone's grandmother. But it is really time I get this driving thing settled; do you know how awkward is was to explain to two good-looking guys that no, I couldn't help them move something by driving their car; I don't have a driver's license. It's not the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to me to be sure but it's mildly cringe-worthy when this is in the first few days they've met you. Not a good initial impression to say the least. C'est la vie. By the way, if anyone has mastered going around corners backwards, I could use some assistance learning that b/c apparently they flunked me on that last time.
