RIP Paul Newman
Ahhh....today is a sad one as we have to say good-bye to one handsome fellow, one great actor, and one great citizen - Paul Newman.
Paul Newman has, since the first time I saw "The Sting" and "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" as a little girl, been on my short list for celebrity potential husbands. I always looked for someone in a boyfriend that somehow reminded me of his characters in his movies, especially, of course, in "Cool Hand Luke".
It wasn't till later, probably when I was 10 and it was the 20th anniversary of Earth Day that I realized how socially conscious Paul Newman was as well! ALL profits to charity???
Well, let's just say this: even though both of them are about, oh, 60 years older than me, had either he or Robert Redford shown up on my doorstep, yep, I would have been whisked off into the sunset by them. :)
