Today was cool. I volunteered for the Boys and Girls Club of Long Beach's 51st annual fundraising gala. Which means I got to run silent auctions, bring people their winnings while the live auction was going on (and say "your winnings, sir" just like Casablanca), eat free cookies, feel really important, and have hurt-y feet from six hours of doing all of that.
But not only did I get a free shirt out of it, I also got to see a bunch of drunk rich old people running around dressed in formal wear and getting louder, and louder, and louder...Oh, the memories I will have from this day...(Actually probably the only one that'll stick is when the puppy that was being auctioned started eating my shoes.)
