Summary: Everyday, a man stood by the waiting shed for weeks without getting on the morning bus until one day the man decided to get on the bus and everything changed.
It was the same everyday for the past six weeks. Exactly at seven in the morning, a man stood under the waiting shed of a bus stop and he was never a minute late nor even missed a day. He was always there for a reason none ever knew.
One would speculate that he was waiting for someone to arrive, perhaps a girlfriend coming off from a night shift job. Another would think that he was passing time, which is a very unlikely reason. And another would suppose that it doesn’t have to have a valid reason for staying there, if he wants to be there then so be it.
The seven A.M. bus came to the stop and people got into the bus to rush off to work or school. The man stayed out of their way and stood silently near the side. The regular passengers who had gotten on the bus knew that the man wasn’t going to get on because for the past six weeks, he never got into the bus when he has a bike with him.
The grumpy bus driver glanced at him for a brief moment before closing the door. The man only stared at him until the bus driver started to drive away and when the bus disappeared from sight, the man hopped onto his bike and left the waiting shed. If one had seen the whole picture from the outside, it was concluded that the man was there everyday to catch a glimpse of the bus driver and leave afterwards.
It went on for another week until the man was absent one day. The regular observant passengers noted his missing presence when he didn’t show up by seven in the morning and wondered what happened to him. One would think that he gave up on waiting and another had thought that he had enough of his nonsensical scheme.
It was the next day and he was still absent when the bus came to the stop. Everyone got on and when the driver was about to close the door, there was a yell, telling him to wait. The driver left the door open and a man stepped into the bus hurriedly. It was the same man who used to wait by the waiting shed. He was panting hard and leaned against the railing to catch his breath while he looked at the driver.
The driver eyed him for a while and then glanced down at the box. The man blushed and pulled out his wallet for his bus card and tapped it on the surface of the box.
“I’m Junsu,” the man suddenly blurted his name.
The driver raised his brow with amusement, “what can I do for you sir?” the driver asked.
“You can tell me your name,” Junsu said with a smile. The other passengers looked at him with bewilderment.
The driver frowned, contemplating whether to tell the man or not.
“Just get on with it. Some of us here are in a hurry!” A man yelled from the back of the bus.
“Oops…I didn’t mean to…” Junsu looked apologetic and the driver chuckled softly at his honest behavior.
“I’m Yoochun,” the driver said and added, “and please hold on to something, we must get moving.”
Junsu moved to stand near behind the driver and held on the top railing with a proud smile on his face.
A few people who paid attention noted Junsu’s tainted cheeks and they couldn’t wait to see what would happen next.
The next day, the man was at the waiting shed few minutes early and few of the other passengers were looking at him with interest and wonder. He paid no attention and waited for the bus to arrive and when the bus came, he waited for everyone to get on before he stepped into the bus.
“Good morning Yoochun-shi,” the man greeted with a bubbly smile.
The driver was taken aback; he wasn’t prepared for such encounter.
“Uh…good morning Ju-Junsu-shi,” the driver stammered shyly and Junsu was glad that the driver remembered his name.
“Here, this is for you,” the man handed the driver a tumbler and the driver accepted it slowly with curiosity.
“What’s this?”
“It’s coffee…I noticed you like black coffee,” the man pointed at the empty paper cups that used to be full of coffee earlier.
“Oh. I…uh thank you,” the driver blushed.
“As much as I am enjoying your exchange, some of us here are in a hurry,” a woman commented with a smile.
“Oh! I’m sorry! Didn’t mean to…” the man apologized.
The driver chuckled and put down the tumbler on the holder, “please hold on to something, we better get moving.” And the man went near behind the driver and held on the top railing.
The other passengers exchanged amused glances and couldn’t wait for tomorrow.
The next few days, the man was always present and kept surprising the driver with something new. Although the driver knew he shouldn’t be longer surprised but whatever the man gave him, he couldn’t help but feel flattered. The other passengers would sigh with envy, wishing that someone would do the same thing for them. Today, the passengers were eyeing him, wondering what he prepared because he arrived at the waiting shed empty handed. There was no tumbler of coffee, flowers, an envelope, small wrapped presents and so what. The man stood waiting at the side of the small crowd of passengers nervously and they wondered what was making him nervous since he was always straightforward and bold.
When the bus came into view, the crowd started getting excited, anticipating the next move of the man. The bus came to stop and everyone started getting on, saving the man for always being the last one to get on.
When the man got on, he glanced nervously at the driver, who was looking at him shyly with a smile.
“Good morning Yoochun-shi,” the man greeted nervously.
The driver frowned at the man’s unusual behavior, “good morning Junsu-shi,” the driver greeted back.
“I…uh…” the man was unusual shy this time.
One of the passengers thought that the man might need some moral support.
“You can do it Mr. Junsu!” a young female student encouraged him and the others cheered on him.
The man blushed and bit on his lips nervously. He took a deep breath and seemed like he was gathering his courage. And when he did, he leaned closely to the driver and planted his lips on the driver’s.
The passengers gasped with surprise, they didn’t expect that the man would be doing this too soon but they were not complaining.
The man slowly pulled back and the driver was in shock with his cheeks turning into pink.
“I like you a lot Yoochun-shi. I’m glad that I had to be early one day when I had to take this bus or else I won’t have ever laid my eyes on you. I thought that catching a glimpse of you every morning before was enough for me but then I realized that I wanted to get closer to you. I got on this bus with the motivation to get to know you not because I have somewhere else to go. I was happy to ride here until your last stop and I would take another bus to go back here. I want to know more about you, Yoochun-shi. I would like to go on dates with you whenever you are free and if you are too busy, I can always come and ride here just to be with you...Yoochun-shi, would you go out with me?” the man confessed.
Everyone in the bus held on their breaths, they were awed and now they were anticipating the driver’s answer.
The driver’s eyes started tearing up and the man started to panic because he didn’t mean to make the driver cry. The driver quickly wiped his eyes and pulled the man by the shirt and crashed into his mouth.
“Yes, I would love to go out with you…Junsu…” the driver replied when they pulled apart. The man lit up with a bright smile and the driver laughed heartily, “I also like you. I saw you all the time before and kept wondering why you were not getting on. I always thought you were waiting for the next bus and I was envious of the next bus, thinking that you might be on it.”
The man wrapped his arms around the driver and the passengers cheered on so loudly.
“The heck, I don’t mind being late today!” one of the passengers yelled and the others laughed and agreed. They were glad to have witnessed a love story unfold in front of them and now, they can’t wait for the next to happen even though they knew the new couple will be truly happy with each other for a long while.

Hi! Long time no see? I apologize for not writing but one would relate that it's not easy to write when you don't have a muse.
I admit that this is not my best work but I felt the need to write or else I would be rustier than ever. It's obvious that I am already losing my fluffy touch lol. The idea of this story popped into my head while I was sitting in tour bus and saw this girl not getting on the public bus when a bus stopped in front of her. This story was a bit challenging because I was writing neither of the boys' point of view but the observers instead. I tell you, it was not easy unless you are a very skilled writer.
I hope there was nothing missing or holes in the story and that it was passable enough to my usual readers lol.
Anyways, thank you for taking the time to read!

PS. I won't start making promises on trying to write monthly but will try whenever I can conjure a story that I think is fluffy enough for you guys to enjoy in the future.
