Amazing

I found a country that beats Turkey's buses!

I was in the second to bottom classes, with four classes to choose from, and was still treated like a queen. They fed me four times a day, showed movies in English (though the volume could have been a little higher), and I had a cushy seat with a footrest for sleeping. It was a little cramped on the first night, when I had a neighbor. The second night, though, with two seats to myself, was grand.

No wonder it cost me 70 bucks for that trip! At least it paid for two night's lodging and a day worth of meals. :)

The second bus ride, which started three hours after I got off the two-night busstravaganza, was gorgeous. The flat desert of Patagonia is really something to look at. About an hour outside of El Calafate the terrain turned to low rolling hills covered with tribbles. Yes, you read that right, and yes, I am referring to the tribbles of Star Trek fame. The only vegetation is tiny round fluffy-looking shrubs, which look exactly like tribbles. Very cute. :)
