I don't really like it, but my boyfriend is hopelessly obsessed. I think it's way too damn long, and I don't really want to listen to an opera if I don't to to see neat costumes, a flashy stage, etc. It just struck me as sort of pointless. I like the Decemberist's silly, happy music better.

My boyfriend is hopelessly obsessed with it too--but at least I like it. I dunno, I had a fun time figuring out the story, and a lot of the characters are really interesting to me. Still, I know I'm in the minority on this one.

I guess really it's because I think in the same mythic lines as Colin Meloy and I love all the Tam Lin parallels.
