Following in the footsteps of clevortrevor, here's my survey.

1. Who was your best friend?

clevortrevor was also my closest friend that went to my high school. there were some runner-ups of course. i think the first one that comes to mind is Beth, but we obviously weren't as close, because I lost contact with her. I was her friend out of my extreme senses of loyalty and empathy (which has continuously compelled me to keep friends I pity throughout life).

I'm sure we had a couple of classes together. AP English, maybe? Homeroom? Mr. Franklin's history class?

2. What sports did you play?

Kirsten got out of sports, but I had to have PE up to 11th grade. I think I was the only one in my class that had to do that, because I didn't do extra-curricular sports.

3. What kind of car did you drive?

I had a Honda Civic, and I loved it. I kept that car for about 7 years.

4. It's Friday night, where were you at?

I baby-sat almost continuously on weekends. I was the one of the official Wynlakes babysitters on their list.

5. Were you a party animal?

Ditto with Kirsten. Never invited, wouldn't have deigned to hang out with those kids anyway.

6. Were you in the "In Crowd"?

No, I most certainly was not. I considered myself 2nd or 3rd from the bottom of the popularity totem pole.

7. Ever skip school?

I faked sick a lot throughout my whole educational career.

8. Ever smoke?

No!!!

9. Were you a nerd?

I would say that I was.

quote: "There was no 10 or 11 on this meme, for some reason. Imagine that!"

12. Who was your favorite teacher?

I'd have to say that was a tie between Mrs. Bloch and Mrs. Hicks. Mrs. Bloch introduced me to better grammar skills and Oscar Wilde, and put up with all the snide things I'd say in English papers while telling me I was clever. Mrs. Hicks was so sweet with us. She would take her Spanish III class of two students out to breakfast all the time, or let us have breakfast parties in the classroom. As long as we spoke Spanish.

Incidentally, I hated Mrs. Harmon. I had her in 7th, 10th and 12th grade. I loved her in 7th and 10th, she was fun, sweet and kind of cool, but when I got new friends in 12th grade, she showed herself to be shallow and judgemental: moreso even than most of the teenagers. She made fun of me and my friends and catered to the popular crowd.

13. Favorite class?

I also say English.

14. What was your school's full name?

Trinity Presbyterian School

15. School mascot?
I said it's great to be a Trinity Wildcat

16. Did you go to Prom?

I refused. Mrs. Kelly, the teacher who took it upon herself to make sure no one was left out due to lack of a date tried to set me up with someone, but I just put my foot down. Not rudely; I just really didn't want anything to do with prom. I had a lot of sound personal reasons for it, most of which I can't remember. All that I'm left with is a knee-jerk negative reaction to the word prom. I just thought high school culture was for losers.

17. If you could go back and do it over, would you?

You mean with the knowlege I have now, or without? If I could go back and do my whole life over again, I probably would. But not if I had to go back to not having the same knowlege I have now. I would never, ever want to go back to being just a regular teenager. It sucked.

18. What do you remember most about graduation?

Feeling oddly angry about having to attend. I was a very angsty teenager.

19. Favorite memory of your Senior Year?
I can't think of too many either. I do remember that on the first day of school, the principal called me into his office to have a talk with me. He was concerned because my chosen schedule put me one class away from graduating with honors, and he wanted to give me the chance to add a science class and graduate with honors. I politely declined, because I hated science so much. It was probably a mistake; I later found out Physics was an easy A and a fun class as well. If that was true, it would have been the first and only fun science class in my life.

21. Did you have a job your senior year?

Yes, I worked part time at Winn Dixie as a cashier. And Kirsten, you also had a Christmas job at the video store in the mall.

22. Who did you date?

No one.

23. Where did you go most often for lunch?
The cafeteria. I think I sat with Beth, and probably Kirsten, when she wasn't at the detention table. I forgot there even was a detention table. I only ate there once. I had neglected to get a 97% Spanish test signed by a parent in the allotted time. I was terrified I'd be in big trouble for it, and when my mom picked me up from school that day, and I confessed, she laughed at me.

24. Have you gained weight since then?

I think I've gained 15 or 20 pounds. It's all in the wide part of the pear shape.

25. What did you do after graduation?

Went to Greece for 2 months with a Christina, came home and went to college. My college roommate turned out to be one of the two girls lower than me on the totem pole, and we became good friends for the first time in the 8 years we had known each other when we finally left high school.
