Perhaps it's the flu. Whatever it is, it's causing the kind of pain you can feel deep in your jaw, in your eyeballs, in all your extremities. Thank goodness for the oxycocet, which has allowed for blissfully pain-free moments in the last forty-eight hours. I'd almost forgotten how itchy narcotics make you feel.
