(no subject)
I don't really know when the last time I posted was, so I'm going to try and do some kind of catch-all update and whitter on a little about how I must endeavour to post more, etc etc.
Having not had a legitimate sick day for nine years, I've spent most of the time since January being under the weather. I've got my third cold in about six weeks, had three days off work and I feel so very sluggish. I've also had two weeks off the gym (partly to pack in events in my crowded social calender) and returning has been quite a slog - my legs hurt, I'm tired and I need to lose the weight I've put on. I had grapefruit for breakfast.
Today is the first day in February I've had completely to myself. Nowhere to go, no-one to see, nothing to do. It's also the last day of the month. I think this is why I'm ill. February's been a whirlwind of hen dos, rehearsals, meals out, social events, etc. I feel quite idle today.
Last week I went to see Hole, who were one of my favourite bands when I were a young lass, at Shepherd's Bush Empire. I had a high temperature and really should have been at home in bed - the things we do for our idols. It was super duper though. On a musical note, I also appear to be going to Glastonbury but I'm also going to Italy in a couple of months and probably can't do both.
What else? Work's going okay. I've agreed to do a 10k run because I'm a fool. I had soup for lunch and accidentally fused the match to light the hob to the index finger of my right hand. You'd think it would hurt but it doesn't.
I've just finished watching Band Of Brothers, which is truly wonderful, and I have a bit of a crush on Damian Lewis. Officially I dislike everyone called Damian because I had an old boss by that name who very much lived up to it. There's now a box set-shaped hole in my life, but I'm sure Amazon will remedy that. The Amazon app is my crack.
Also, at the age of 28, I've started putting sweetener in my coffee. Watching Diagnosis Murder can't be far off.
Oooh! And I'm guest judge at a cupcake competition! I ought to blog about work more. Maybe I will start doing that. Maybe I will.
