Republicans Mock 'Temple of Obama'

Aug 28, 2008 21:40

Some Republicans have dubbed the setting -- complete with its Greek-styled columns -- the "Temple of Obama," suggesting it's symbolic of a man who is more of a celebrity than a political leader.

On its Web site, the Republican National Committee runs a feature about Obama called "Audacity Watch," which includes a link to an unflattering tabloid article about the "Obama temple."

The Web site for the campaign of presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain promotes a mocking video about Obama, called, "The One -- Road to Denver." Some bloggers have also weighed in, poking fun at Obama."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...and...

...it's these kinds of things that keep me from feeling that I'll EVER be able to take Obama seriously. It's not the second coming of Christ, people...calm the hell down. I wouldn't sell an organ for a private dinner and a night on the town with Hillary...and people say *I'm* obsessed.

I can't even watch the convention as it's happening. I have to take it in small doses on Youtube. It's just too much. It's all too much. Ugh.
