today in class my professor said the beginning of a sentence and we had to write the first thing that came to mind. My responses (especially toward the end) were shockingly honest, even to myself so i wanted to write them down somewhere where I wouldn't lose them and could come back to them later. enter live journal. oh thank you lj. haha
"My mothers hands..."
...soft, white, like a doll's, longer fingers, porcelain
"A time of day..."
...waking up at 7am for class. the city is quiet, but its waking up with me.
"My father's voice..."
...deep, strong, comforting
like an old blanket or a teddy bear, home.
"The taste of..."
...mom's cooking, so good. comfort food
I could use some comfort food
"the weather in the house was..."
...stormy. tensions high.
there is a grumbling underneath the still quiet.
"I learned how to..."
love. and then how to lose love.
its not all gone, but its not all there either.
"On the phone he said..."
...he wanted to talk to me about something. I didin't think it would be that.
too fast.
"Describe a piece of clothing..."
...my father's old gray sweatpants. long and baggy on my smaller frame. white paint now adorns the right hip
"describe a car..."
My bug. My love.
Bright green and bubbly. Always smiling.
Just like me.
I can hide inside because the windows are tinted.
