Train Crash at South Station

Originally uploaded by girl_named_fredThere was a train crash at South Station this morning around 9:30. Apparently the Framingham Commuter train failed to stop and ran into the embankment. My bus usually arrives at 9:30...but was a bit late this morning. Parts of the area were blocked off...and I had to walk around rather than through the main building of South Station. Atlantic Ave was full of emergency vehicles By the time I walked by the press had arrived, the police line was up and they were beginning to roll people out on stretchers Most of the excitement I caught was of reporters RUNNING with old fashioned reporters notebooks...didn't know they still used those. I hope there were no serious injuries...
