Blood for Blood

So I ran faster
But it caught me here
Yes my loyalties turned…
Like my ankle

Katherine regarded the vampire in front of her, the one she had come to call brother in the past months.  She knew the look on her face; it was one of disdain and disbelief.  He had decided to confront her about her lover and protector, Lucien Sutter.  The theories and the conclusions he had come to were so terribly hard to believe that she almost laughed…almost.
“Are you asking me if I stand with the family I barely know, and a sire who abandoned me, or with the people who took me in and treated me as one of their own?”
“I take it your loyalties lie with the Sutter’s then,” he practically spat the name from his lips.
She nodded tersely and he flew into a rage.

These precious things
Let them bleed
Let them wash away
These precious things
Let them break their hold over me

Katherine awoke to Cecil standing over her and she began cursing.
“I want that bastard torpered and bronzed!” she screamed healing a good bit of the wounds that still covered her body.
“There is a young woman in the other room from which you can sustain yourself,” he said coolly and she followed his instructions without another word.
Once she was no longer in danger of frenzying at the site or smell of blood Katherine sat calmly, though her eyes were livid.  The Prince stood in front of her and she met his gaze.
“Do you think that you are in any way being influenced unnaturally by Alder Sutter,” he asked.
She shook her head, “I do not.”
“Do you think were your brother to sit down and talk with Alder Sutter he would change his mind about him in anyway?”
Katherine laughed harshly, “No, I do not believe it would help in the least.  My brother is a stubborn one.”
Cecil nodded, “That he is.”  Then added, “Do you wish retribution against him?  He is already being punished for disobeying a direct order.”
“I will seek retribution,” she stated, her words were venomous and cold.

He said you’re really an ugly girl
But I like the way you play
And I died
But I thanked him
Can you believe that
Sick sick
Holding on to his picture
Dressing up every day
I wanna smash the faces
Of those beautiful boys

Looking out the window of the car she could barely see anything.  The night was dark and cold and just as unfriendly looking as Katherine felt.  Her mind was reeling at what action to take against him.  She licked her lips.  But there was a plane waiting for her and she would think elsewhere.  One thing was for sure.  He would pay.
