If only I could write again...
If only I had the insight I had back then,
back when
my thoughts flowed freely
like the ink from my pen.
I'd wish that I could sing again.
Sing all these things
that might mean
something to someone...somewhere.
And I wouldn't care
as long as I could feel again.
Feel something real
and not just the
"shoulda, coulda, woulda"
that I feel every day.
I remember back when
I was able to say
everything so clearly
and I nearly had the world figured out
when....

all of the ink ran out of my pen.
