I wrote this and I want to submit it to my creative writing class. what do you all think? HONESTLY!!!!! [[if u want an explanation of it, I'll give u one after you read it :)]]

Epiphany

In a world swarming
with a never ending thirst
for more than we’ve been handed,
answers are demanded.
Rather than sought out,
they're bought out
to the highest bidder;
to a church full of a sinners
or the pretty face on tv.
In a world where money is the key
to salvation
and our nation
is being run by a man
full of contradictions,
but none of the answers
that we all demand.
In this world I have found my meaning;
Not in a magazine
or on a tv screen,
But rather,
in an apartment full of treasures;
Treasure that measures up to any amount
of fortune or fame
or deity you could name.
Objects that symbolize
two lives that I idolize,
that were lived to experience
every corner of the world
that so many people neglect.
The irony is
these people I so greatly respect,
they don’t fit the standards of the modern day celebrity.
You’d never see them on the cover of a magazine.
My mind set has been capsized.
Look past what’s acceptable in society’s eyes.
Outside the box lies
an epiphany to be realized.
