Utena's mouth was a straight line, and her ears burned, a sure sign that the Prince had lost her temper.
"I can't believe you'd think I'm capable of hurting you or anyone else, or that I'm out to make some kind of conquest."
Her knuckles were white on the hilt of the Sword of Dios. It still hung casually at her side, but clutching the familar metal was somehow comforting while the anger sang in her blood.
"Katelyn is my friend. I like her. What happened, happened before I knew that she didn't feel the same way that I do about monogamous relationships. Knowing that, it's best that we stay friends and nothing more, and that's fine."
Inhaling deeply to calm herself, she stretched.
"It would be wrong to ask you, or anyone else, on a real date while I had feelings for another girl. That's why I only suggested a friendly lunch to get to know each other better, but if you think I'm the kind of person that hurts her friends or has 'conquests', I'm not sure I want to get to know you after all."
Turning silently, she walked towards the rooftop door. It was locked, and in a rare moment of frustration and anger, Utena used her Slayer strength to break the door handle, mentally promising to go to the Headmistress and apologize and pay for the repairs tomorrow.
