Kalinka's look of concern hadn't changed much from the point she stepped in front of the rampaging girl, even with the prospect of being gunned down. Now, she was simply sad and distant. Finding herself rather useless as people made a fuss and rushed around her, she thought to quickly hide away in her room again, but noticed a distinct sound over the voices. Curious, she followed the sound of the metronome into Rei's empty and scattered room upstairs, the door still ajar.
The closest thing to a person there was the picture of Rei's mother, which Kalinka noticed first, and then the keyboard. "It's a mess." She said to herself, and went about putting the stranger's things in order wherever they best looked to go. Though she wasn't particularly making it a point to snoop through the miko's belongings, past figuring out what they were, it was hard not to notice the little red book in the middle of the floor, or the half-written song still on the table.
It only took one glance at a page of the diary to realize it was such. If I can wander in here so easily to find it... She began to wonder where it would have been hidden, and if even that place was hidden enough from prying eyes while the girl she hardly knew was gone. I'll just have to keep it safe for now. Whether or not Kalinka could resist eventually reading Rei's diary like any good book was yet to be seen.
Looking over the notes and the lyrics, she smiled lightly, walking over and setting them up against the electronic instrument. Sliding the volume to the lowest setting that could be heard, she began to play through a portion of the song with one hand, only to jerkily stop her fingers at certain points. Though she more than knew how to play at least a piano, and it had been some time since even that, they weren't the main considerations. Eventually giving up, she looked down and held one hand with the other that kept the red book, trying to rub away the hidden pangs.
(OOC: Door's still open if someone wants to look in, otherwise she closes it and wanders back to her room without much to do about things.)
