wondering if I made a mistake

Sometimes I'm not sure coming here was a good idea. It's been useful in one respect. I'm getting to see world views that are so radically different than my own. On the other hand that's one of the things that makes this so uncomfortable

Thank you. I appreciate that. I mean, technically I'm here to study healing magic. Most of my heroes practiced non-violent means to effect change. The idea that the 'best' way to get anything out of this school is through dueling and force is very strange to me.

Then again it's one of the reasons I did sign up for the dueling club. I wanted to challenge myself to think outside of my comfort zone.

They really over-emphasis the Dueling Club here. Really, the academics shouldn't take such a back seat to something that's actually pretty useless for 95% of the students. I mostly do it since I want to get into law enforcement.

Still, you do have a point about it making you think differently than you are used to.

Maybe, instead, you could start a dance club?

Start my own club? Now that's an idea. I wonder if anyone would be interested in learning to dance. Of course most of what I know is Bollywood or tradtional Hindu. I wonder if there's anyone here who knows a few other styles to help round things out.

Well, I'd be totally worthless to you. I don't know how to dance at all. Still, I think you'd enjoy it.

They'd have to be fast lessons! There's a gala being scheduled, and, well... I feel sorry for any woman that has to take me out on the dance floor.

It wouldn't matter anyway. Whatever the dance is, I'd just latch onto her waist with my hands and shuffle around! I imagine it would look like a zombie trying to hold onto a gazelle or something.
