Survived the first night

It feels very weird being away from my family for the first time. I was worried about being homesick. I guess I am a little but it's not too bad. I met several of my fellow students yesterday. They are interesting, yes that's the safest word for it. I don't know any of them well enough yet to say more than that and there was so much conversation swirling around that I didn't get the chance to follow it all.

I did learn that ghosts can be pretty disturbing but I always suspected that.

It seems like a nice day. I should go explore the campus, maybe spend a little time in the quad. It'll feel good to have the sun on my face.
