Starving a woman until she'll have sex with you apparently isn't rape.

There's a new law in Afghanistan that makes it legal for a man to starve his wife if she refuses to have sex with him. Yeah, really. Mohseni, the designer of said law, essentially argues that it prevents adultery and doesn't condone rape. Yeah, really.

My favorite excerpt:

'A man and wife can negotiate how often it is reasonable to sleep together, based on his sex drive, and a woman has a right to refuse if she has a good reason,' said the bearded cleric. 'It should not be compulsory for the wife to say yes all the time, because some men have more sexual desires than others,' he said, adding that husbands should never force themselves on their wives and the law does not sanction that.

See? It's not rape if she says yes because you will slowly kill her if she refuses. Yes means yes regardless of the circumstances.

The law says a husband can demand sex with his wife every four days, unless she is ill or would be harmed by intercourse. It also regulates when and for what reasons a wife may leave her home without a male escort.

Wait, she doesn't have to have sex if it will cause her physical pain? Why would anyone complain about that sweet deal? Not only that but now in a few situations, women can leave the house WITHOUT A MAN! Mohseni is truly a man ahead of his time.

Mohseni: fourth-wave feminist? I think so. Next thing you know, women might be able to choose their own husbands, heaven forbid!
