dream
One of the things I love reading about in my older entries is the weird dreams that I had. Sometimes my dreams end up predicting the future, but I don't really realize what is happening in the dream.
Last night I had a dream that I was trying to make a little bit of extra money doing door dash and Uber eats. I did that as a full time job last year but it dried up and I wasn't able to make enough to keep doing it. Anyway, in the dream I opened up the app and accepted a decent order. But my phone stopped working, and it wouldn't tell me which restaurant to go to for the orders. For some reason I could still contact the customers so I told them what was going on. In the dream I went to sleep (?) and when I woke up, I was still assigned that order, those people were waiting for their food for hours! This never would have happened IRL though, orders would get re-assigned after enough time goes by and the driver isn't doing anything.
I kind of miss doing that as my full time job, I actually really liked just driving around aimlessly all day. As a native floridian, I will never get tired of the autumn foliage, and I got to see a lot of it when I was being a delivery driver. I just wish that the income was more steady and predictable. I could make up to $300 in one day, but then other days when I'd expect at least 100 I wouldn't even get a single 'ping' all day long. I really liked being able to work when I wanted to, I liked not having to wake up at a certain time and having to clock in and be in one place for hours.
