Modern Feminist Angst
I watched the women of my generation
Hate each other
Berate, criticize and judge each other
Not realizing our own worth
I watched myself and my peers
Rip each other to shreds
Brainwashed by the men
Who thrive when we destroy our hive
Who want to see us destroy ourselves
So they never have to even lift a finger
Laziness at it’s best
Their “entertainment” at our expense
But it will come to an end
I will not stand by
And watch another young girl cry
Because she can’t catch his eyes
With her incredible mind,
Unrelenting talent,
And a heart so wide
That even the biggest boobs on Earth
Would barely take up a fraction
Of her vast heart and soul
Give me botox
So you can’t see my anger
So I won’t offend a stranger
With this deep rage
Kindled by the unjustice
Of modern sexism
I will rise
I will shout my heart out
You will listen
And we will
Start over
