I've finally found the voice for a poem that has been languishing inside my head for the last four years. Wild Mushroom Girl is in the ingredient stages now, but I'm anticipating fruition soon. A poem I've been working with for the last two weeks, Disruption, is turning out much different than I expected. It was intended to be a grief poem. It still is, though addressing a facet and type of personality I hadn't anticipated developing. But it's better this way. More concise, more impactful. The previous concept invoked a lesser brand of emotion than I was looking for. We will post soon.
