I'm pretty bummed. Brad is out of town until Thursday. He had to go to New Jersey for something related to work and Samsung. I don't really know. But I hate being in a house by myself. I get creeped out easily. Plus, I'm just not that good at taking care of myself. I can take care of a dog, but I can't take care of myself. Pretty much every meal of the day is cereal, and I never get off the couch. Ugh.
Otherwise, I guess things are going alright. We're buying a house. It's been a fun but stressful experience, and we've only just begun the process, haha. We're going to keep looking for now, just to see other options, but I think we're going to put an offer on this one place in Edgewood. It was my 3rd choice and assuming it doesn't have structural work that needs to be done first, Brad said we make redoing the kitchen the #1 priority. It's not bad as-is, but it has the potential to be awesome. The living room is huge and pretty, and the master bedroom has a walk-in closet. Plus, since it has 3 bedrooms, we can have a guest bedroom (aka Mackenzie's room) and I could have a separate room for painting and sewing, which is a HUGE bonus, because it takes up a lot of space in my current bedroom. I'm pretty stoked about it. I've been using The Sims to figure out how I want to arrange everything, as far as furniture. Hahaha. :)
I got hired for a part-time job at a restaurant opening in Greenfield. I think it's called Smith's Old World Deli. Maybe. I don't remember. I haven't started yet. It sounds pretty cool. It's mostly a pierogi place, but they're also baking bread and preparing meats, etc. Everything is going to be hand-prepared and as much from scratch as it can be. I think it sounds awesome, and the boss seems really chill. Also (and this is a biggie) I get to see the ins and outs of opening a new business. I'm still determined to open a bakery someday (in Regent Square maybe?) so any opportunity that allows me to see hands-on the many aspects that go into running one is super welcome in my book. And in the meantime, I love the chance to cook/bake either at a restaurant or at home. Dorina's getting married on Saturday, and I promised to make a giant penis cake for the bachelorette party. Should be fun! :)
