(no subject)
Well I kind of failed at this morning. I was "enjoying" a lazy morning just doing whatever. Around 11:40 I checked my phone, only to find out I had four missed calls and six text messages from Joe and Brittany. Turns out I misread the schedule, and I was supposed to work morning shift, not afternoon. Shit. After failing to find a ride, I got to work an hour later. Joe had helped set up everything before opening, and Brittany was able to work cash register for about an hour before having to leave again at 11. So I got there and Joe was on register; thankfully it was a really slow morning and it didn't get in the way of the cakes he had to do. So I got to work about two hours before my shift was over. Great. Epic fail.
On the bright side, I managed to scratch "hitchhike a short distance" off my list of things to do before I'm 25. I'd considered flagging someone down to try and get a lift to Squirrel Hill, but I kept either chickening out, or it would be people with an already full car. So it's kinda weird that as I was waiting for the bus to go home a couple hours later, a complete stranger offered me a ride. I asked Shaina and she said that still counts as hitchhiking. Anyway she was such a nice woman! She runs and bikes a lot, and loves dogs, and saving the earth. Lol. :) So that was pretty awesome.
