Snowflakes falling in Week 12

May 16, 2008 23:57

Dawn was so crisp and new
Her warmth caressing the mountain so cold
First snow falls so warm to hold
Morning greeted with her glorious hue

The fine white talc mixed with fog
Piercing cold air brushes my face
Kindling loving collected in my warm embrace
Carefully stacked and placed under cherry wood logs

The cherry wood burns so sweet and pure
Infusing smells of oak and pine
That distinctive perfume, so fine
Winter wonderland holds such allure

Milk coffee brunch lunch dinner divine
Laughter and learning infront of the fireplace
Rustic young rich peasant beautifully worn faces
Childhood memories; graced and sacred, cherished and MINE
