DGT signed on for SJA?!!!!! ok, now might be a good time for me to get a little more serious n finding soem episodes... my methods aren't getting much on my budget. i must pursuade the next person comign near our island to copy all dvs they have!
i'd love a 10.5/rose movie, i think those 2 had so much fun together they'd eb straight back in. i can't think on the name of the creatures off the top of my head, but i know there were some old who lizard-men who had the world before humans. russell really liked the idea of them, in several interviews they're the first thing that pop out of his mouth as "ultimate villan to bring back"
i wouldn't be so opposed to a multi-doctor story. bbc4 usua;ly only show the first 1 or 2 parts of old stories so it's hard to get a good read on old doctors and companions. with so many new viewers i can see why they migth do that, but i also think it would stop most vets form going to see it
i really need to find somewhere to keep up to date better with spoilers. i'm signed up to the whodaily news;etter, but i keep missing stuff :(
now that i've taken up most of your comment space with rambling (i'm bored and don't want to go back to revision) i'll vanish
I've watched the first three episodes of SJA, but I have to admit it didn't grab me as much, so I never watched beyond those. I may need to catch up on the show, too, though!
And I'm glad you brought up those lizard men villains, lol! I do remember seeing RTD mention them in an interview, though I can't recall their name, either. (I believe some of my friends would know, though!) They're a great example of why I could imagine RTD being enthusiastic about the idea of doing one more DW project that wouldn't interfere with Moffat's vision for the show.
You do bring up a solid point about how a 10.5/Rose movie wouldn't be as interesting to the Classic Who fans. I know a lot of them don't like the show now at all because of the shippiness. But given the ratings, I rather suspect the BBC wouldn't care. It's a shame, though!!
And how interesting that BBC4 doesn't air the complete specials with the earlier Doctors! That sounds immensely annoying. I've checked some of them out of my library or I'd never have a chance to watch them on TV, as they aren't aired anywhere here in my area.
