Doctor Who / Gilmore Girls trade
I made a special deal with
hannah_annise which I've been very much enjoying this past week. Squid and I agreed to a trade: She would watch Doctor Who if I would watch Gilmore Girls. So far, she's much better at our trade-off than I am! I'm on S1, Episode 4 of GG, but she's on S1, Ep. 9 of DW. (So don't leave any spoilers for either show in the comments!)
This has been so much fun! While watching the episodes we've been taking notes throughout and sending our comments back and forth via email. So we've enjoyed squeeing to one another through each episode, sharing reactions, and getting more insight into the shows. Our conversations get extensive as we hash out plot points, but oh! the fun! We bawled our way through "Father's Day" together today. Oh, the horrible, beautiful, sacrificial love displayed by the two men in Rose's life!
GG has been so much fun to get to know, too. Last night when Sookie chased Jackson down the street after he caught her having an affair with someone else's strawberries, I laughed so hard that my hubby was convinced I was insane. The looks he gave me! The dialogue and complicated relationships on this show really do make it a lot of fun to watch. Now if only there were things blowing up or alien invasions periodically. ;-)
