Event postscript
The silent auction tonight raised $1700!!!!
I just got home and finished unloading equipment from the event. My poor hubby has to get up for work in 90 minutes! Thankfully he's a really good sport and has been just as enthusiastic as every one of our volunteers about doing whatever it takes to help with the fundraiser.
In the middle of watching the series finale of Gilmore Girls, the building had to be evacuated due to a kitchen fire on the 17th floor! We all grabbed our laptops and piled down the stairs and into the 17-degree weather (-5 wind chill). Brrr!! Thankfully they didn't make us wait outside for more than a few minutes. After that, we waited in the lobby till the fire department gave us the all clear and we resumed the show.
...and I know there were a few other tidbits I was going to mention, but it's 3:20am and I'm starting the airport runs in 5-1/2 hours, so my brain is fried.
