So... why did Harry stay broken up with her? Why didn't he go running back to her and apologize and try to reconcile?
Because he was amazed and astounded at Ginny and is already completely in love with her, of course. ;)
I loved how impressed he was at the things she did, and how they followed the Cho-is-distracted bit so quickly with the first don't-mess-with-Ginny hint.
I agree the Cho kiss lasted TOO long. When they cut away at first, I thought they were done with it, but then they did the new-angle thing and I very nearly rolled my eyes.
I'm consistently amazed at how I go into the theater thinking "I love Ron" and come out thinking "I love Neville." They really have handled him amazingly, though it's a shame they didn't make it a point that he was the other possible "chosen one."
I'd forgotten (only read it once... I had a hard time with this book) that he and Harry were the only ones standing at the end, but now that you say that I am VERY sad that they didn't put that in... especially because I still think that Neville's going to be super important in the last book somehow.
(I do still love Ron, of course. And they did do Ron/Hermione very well.)
Oh, and I liked that they sort of linked Neville and Luna up (they both pull each other back at some point)even if JKR doesn't.
Totally, totally agree with you on everything! I loved that Ron didn't come across as sulky and whiney as I felt they depicted him in GoF. The scene where he stands up for Harry in the Common Room on their first night back was very, very good.
And wasn't Neville just wonderful? I was so happy to see his character growth so well done!!
