Out oars for Boston!
So Boston it is.
Here's our lineup, as I understand it:
1) mockingbird39 - Mel, who lives in Boston and is hereby slated with hostess & tour guide duties;
2) tasyfa - Tas, our Canadian smut queen who absolutely must come, as I've yet to "meet" her in person;
3-4)
laurenc21 - Lauren and her hubby Jason, from California;
5-6) muffinkath7 - Kath, also coming in from Canada, and possibly her sister Allie, from Michigan;
7) cookie2697 - Anne, who absolutely must come, as she's another I've yet to "meet!"
8-10) humantales - One of my favorite HP friends, whose RL name I don't think I'm supposed to say online on an unlocked post. ;-) Possibly coming down with hubby and son, right?
11) kalenodonnell - Kalen, coming out from Georgia;
12) rhetoretician - Ken, another talented HP friend, coming out of Rhode Island. Will you have your family with you?
13-14) gioiamia - and me. I'm not sure if Josh will be with us or not. Depends on how many of his days off we use while I'm away on business.
So that gives us a group of 14 people, counting spouses and kids, but not counting Ken's family yet. You might want to make sure you're all on each other's friends lists so we can do our plotting.
Next question is, when will y'all be coming down and how much of the visit do you want to hook up for? Will you want to just meet us in Harvard Square for the big HP party, or do you want to be with us when we all read the book together in the hotel that night?
My personal plan at this point is to come in on Thursday or Friday and stay until Monday. I'd love to split a hotel room with some others. Mel's helping me look at what hotels in the area make sense for us. So far I'm seeing prices just over $200 as about the cheapest I can find per room, with only 3 people capable of sharing a room comfortably. So figure $75/per person/per night if we fit 3 to a room.
