Taking the Potter out of Harry Potter

I'm being pathetic, I know.  And
thehouseofjade is totally going to be snickering at me, given all my protests about not being so obsessed of an HP fan that the movies matter to me.  (Because I'm not and they don't!)  And I'm always disappointed in the movies to some degree - I expect to be disappointed in anything produced by Chris Columbus, frankly.  (And heaven help us if he's back to direct the 7th Movie!)

But seriously.  Can they quit emphasizing how relatable the HP characters are in the movies and actually give us a green-eyed, messy-haired, SCARRED boy who, along with his friends, actually wears wizarding clothing?  Click Here for pictures from OotP.  Where is his lightning bolt scar?  I know they gave up on giving him green eyes due to some trouble he has with the colored contacts.  And that's annoying, but understandable.  But now they've got his scar so faint that I can't even see it any of the pictures.
LaurenC21, what do you think?

Granted, Umbridge looks good, though I'd have made her fatter.

rant, movies, hp
