Ugh
I read through the 2006 Summer Drama Contest entrants tonight over at PhoenixSong. Ugh. Now I'm left feeling all depressed and annoyed. None of the fics particularly grabbed me, and some were simply awful. Mostly, though, I just hate that overdose of angst I just got. Don't authors realize that drama does not equal angst? For pity's sake, you don't have to kill off everyone or drop them into ugly misunderstandings or near-rape situations in order for it to be a drama.
Sigh.
Must go find something cheerful to read before I go downstairs and dump this blah-ness on my poor, unsuspecting hubby.
