ginzura fictaganza: the summer holiday does not excuse you from your fandom duties, slackers!

It's been pretty exciting lately, hasn't it! The anime's started again, our boy Sorachi is crankin' manga out like his editor's got a flamethrower under his hairy butt, and oopsipuked finally cured himself of that nasty little disease he got over spring break!
Yes, as we turn into summer, your lovely mods have come to the decision that since everyone else is making use of themselves, we might as well join the party!
So we've decided to host GinZura's very first Super-Cool Totally Neat Doujinshi Give-Away Fanfiction contest!
"Oh my goodness!", you may be saying. "Esteemed Mods, this is just what I needed to make my day better/take my mind off of that dead hooker/transform into a world-savvy and fully functional member of society!*"
Well, we live to serve, dear GinZurians!
So how, you are probably by now most definitely asking, will this contest work?
We have divided the contest into the following three categories:
100 - 1000 words - CATEGORY C
1000 - 2,500 words - CATEGORY B
2,500 - INFINITY - CATEGORY A
Each category will have a prize of doujinshi, which are ALL rated R-18. If you don't want to compete for an R-18 doujinshi, just make a note of it, and I will replace it with a totally awesome non shameful doujin just for you!
Also, considering that these are physical prizes, I will have to mail them to you. If you are not cool with this (and you end up winning), PM the mods and we will figure something out for you super-quick!
The prizes will be as follows:
CATEGORY C - "Sore Hamaru de Moeru You na" - 32 pages (Kodomoya, 2007)
CATEGORY B - "Kono yoro wo doushiou" - 22 pages (Haica-Haikara Flip, 2006)
"Garakuta Oniisan (Garakuta Young Men) (Saint Young Men parody)" - 22 pages (Tesepara - Tsumiki 2010)
CATEGORY A - "Kusa no na wa shirazu mezurashii hana no saku volume 1"- 32 pages
"Kusa no na wa shirazu mezurashii hana no saku volume 2" - 48 pages (Haim Hinode - Summer and Winter 2008)
"Bonnie Butterfly" - 36 pages (Chabo-445, 2006)
SUPER WICKED GRAND PRIZE: This will be awarded to the fic that the mods feel is exceptionally well-written and entertaining, regardless of category: "Kokuhaku (KuroShiro)" - First-draft Gintoki (Hijikata) x Katsura - 38 pages (Nekodo, Winter 2009)
The fic contest will start on Saturday, May 21st and will run for SIX WEEKS until July 1st! Judging will be held in the following week, and winners will be announced on July 8th!
"But hey, mods, that's not cool! We don't trust your taste in fics!"
AS WELL AS YOU SHOULDN'T! Which is why we're inviting ALL of the members of GinZura to vote during the voting period! Leave comments and rank fics freely! We might throw up a poll for ease of counting. The Super Wicked Grand Prize will be chosen strictly by the mods, but everything else is chosen by you, our lovely community followers!
So how do you participate? We've created this very easy to follow and comprehensive checklist for you below:
1) Write a fic!
2) Post it to GinZura with the tag: *ginzura fictaganza. Tag your category with *category [a, b or c]. Be sure to put the word count somewhere in the subject line or the fic preamble!
3) Sit back and revel in your newly-found fans who will be in awe of your awesome writing and storytelling skills!
4) Rejoice! Laugh! Vote!
5) ACQUIRE DOUJINSHI FOR BEING EXCELLENT
