Really? I thought his part was so lame and cliche-ed. Not impressed. At all :(

Really? Huh. Maybe it could have been in the hands of a less talented actor, but JP kind of blew me away throughout most of the episode. From his flinch when "Jess" touched him at the start to his obvious horror at Lucifer's request at the end - I was impressed throughout. What was it that you found cliched? Curious minds and all that. *g*

I don't think there was anything in it that I disliked, to be honest. Maybe the implication that Dean used to regularly frequent whorehouses. Really? Someone who looks like Dean and has his general skills with picking up women is going to feel the need to pay for sex? Somehow I'm not thinking that to be the case.

Everything else though? Smart!Sam (I loled a bit though when I saw he'd pulled up Revelation in gothic script Latin - NIV no longer sufficient for his needs? Still, swanky Latin skills are always a plus) and Dean's mouthing off to Raphael, even Castiel's complete bafflement and the reason he got them kicked out of the brothel - it was all good.

Oh Man. It was epically good. Really. Great one liners, and the D/C time was time worth spent. I especially loved Cas' fear of girls, and then the later snarking off to "that teenage ninja turtle."

I also thought that JP's acting was really great. The terror on his face when he was told he was the host and then when he told Lucifer that he would kill himself, and L told him that he'd just bring him back.

I think that they've upped the ante. I really can't wait to see where they go next.

PS- I don't think I'm posting tonight... But I will need your mad beta-fuing.... I've... ahh... added some stuff...

The Dean and Castiel bits were pretty epic. So were the Sam bits, but for a rather different reason. I adored Dean straightening Castiel's tie and doing up his top button and then having to reach out and flip Castiel's FBI badge the right way up. "He's new." LOL - in so very many ways...

Yeah, JP really brought it to the table this time. I was incredibly impressed by him and what he pulled off. He had some extremely subtle reactions and expressions, nothing was over the top to me.

Next episode is going to be one of the epic ones, IMHO. Just lookit that preview - we've got good times ahead!

Send me what you've got, sister mine, and I'll gladly take a look. Hopefully the notes I left made sense because I've never really done the full on beta work before. :)

Also - "teenage mutant ninja angel" was quite possibly my favorite line on account of sheer awesome and win and I freaking loved how Castiel was so scared of the concept of having carnal relations. Not to mention how he kept screwing up while being incredibly sincere; "It's probably angels and demons." "I just told her that it wasn't her fault that her father left. It was his job." <3 Castiel!

Oh! I know! They have such great chemistry and comic timing. I loved the tie and badge part. And loved the "I have daddy issues too" part. I liked Dean trying to give Cas some hope.

It was interesting to me about what Dean said about not being tied to his family any more. I worry that he'll beat himself up over feeling that way once Sammy goes full on anti-christ...

The chemistry is rather ridiculous. This is the closest we've come to Dean admitting that God could be real, for that matter. That's kinda significant to my mind. I liked too that they might have brought up Dean's daddy issues again, but for the first time, it was in a positive sense. Dean kept his faith that John was alive, and he turned out to be vindicated. He's giving Castiel hope of the same.

Well. I've my suspicions about that based on the preview we've seen for 5x04... Methinks that future!Sam will NOT be all that pleasant for Dean to see, but perhaps that will be the inspiration to get Dean back on track in terms of letting Sam in again. Which I rather hope to NOT be the case, seeing as I'd rather that Dean's desire to keep Sam around sprang from an organic source rather than a "if I don't, he'll go evil and end the world" impetus, but they've managed to do a generally good job with keeping me surprised thus far. I've faith they'll continue to do so. :)
