Boooooring...
Yeah...life's been pretty damn boring since I posted last, three weeks ago...
I've been working so hard at my job and at home, that I finally had some holiday time for myself. More housework because family was coming to visit, and then we got the hard stuff done in the bathroom we're putting in in the basement. I'm moving down there in a few weeks, after FINALLY getting the woodworking stuff done. My father's such a perfectionist and a procrastinator, so shit took FOREVER to get started and then accomplished.
Anime North is finally upon us, with less than two months to go until D-Day. Our costumes are ready as of this week, though a few minor accessories and weapons need to be done still. Wigs aside, which I loathe styling and which I hope a friend will help with, everything else is a piece of cake. Five weapons, a wig not made of traditional wig elements (hair, plastic, netting, etc) and gloves/scraf thingus for Tousen, are easy enough to do. The hotel room's been booked since Dec. 27th, the tickets were bought online back in January and my bag's already half packed. How lamesauce am I? XD
Though I need to buy my booze beforehand, to pack it away in my luggage. It's safer for wine bottles to pack into clothes, than to be banging around against each other in a plastic bag. We're gonna have soooo much stuff to unpack from the car and take to the room when we get there. >_< -dies-
Work-wise, we've been too busy with funerals. People need to stop dying suddenly, dammit! My boss is finally going on vacation in the Dominican this coming Sunday so thankfully, I have a week away from her. She's a great lady but she's a little demanding when it comes to simple things. I run the damn shop anyway. She just does the financial aspect because I SUCK with business monies. I know I'll be taking my lappy and tablet to work, just to finish some on-going arts and maybe writing a few more chappies of LL and DF.
I'm still dieting, as I was before I stopped posting about my weight loss. I'm down four pant sizes and I've moved seven notches over in all of my belts. I've lost that nasty under the chin fat thingus I had going for a while there and I happily donned a pair of boots that my mother bought for me a year ago, after putting them away dejectedly when they wouldn't zipper-up over my fat ankles. THEY FIT LIKE A GODDAMN DREAM NAO.
That's...about it. Business as usual with friends and an unfulfilled sex life to match. -sigh- Sometimes I wish I was still with my ex. Least the sex was amazing. He might've been a cold boyfriend/husband, but he was a hot lover.
