Wolverine: Origins Min Review

Ok, so went to see this movie this weekend and well...

7/10 for me. I'm a big fan of Deadpool and of Gambit and they didn't really do the characters justice in the movie. Gambit had an accent one minute then the next it was gone and he just didn't act like his character. He was supposed to be crafty...... And Deadpool....ugh why, they could have just made someone else Weapon 11 instead of adding all that crap to Deadpool...... And I missed the 'team' from the comics that Wolvie was part of (Maverick etc).

And maybe it was just me but those long blades would never fit in Deadpools arms....he wouldn't be able to bend them. Yes, I know it's a movie. But some things are just mood killers in a movie. And I'm a girl that loves a man with swords who can fight (well in movies/books anyway haha).

And just one more thing I thought of - Emma Frost is not related to Silverfox and the fact that she was in this movie (or that's how it appeared to me) and that she had her diamond skin powers as opposed to her telepath powers like she's always had until recently....well that is just poo.

And Prof X's creepy glossy look really freaked me out lol... it was also kinda creepy how they had him waiting for the kids to just scoop them up. It just seemed to imply that he found Cyclops there when that's not where he found him in the comics. Just odd, didn't think he should have been there. I think they just should have escaped and that's that.

Anyway, in terms of not judging it as a comic book reader, the movie was good for an action movie. They didn't follow how the origins went in the comics but again if you overlook that and just take it as an action movie then it wasn't bad. I would have been happier if it had been not a prequel but just some side adventure that Wolvie went on and was running around destroying things.

2 added scenes:

1)deadpool using his adamantium sword to crawl out..all you see were his hands and sword crawling out then his head pops out and he looks in the camera and goes "shhh"

2)showed stryker walking until his feet bled

Anyway - I'd say go see it, see what you think. Overall not bad but from a comic book lover pov it wasn't the best.
