I had a chat with someone tonight who was an active listener, and knew what i was talking about, if not more than me. Thinking about what we had talked about, i found myself drifting upon the ancient ninja ronin from centuries long past. How dedicated one HAD to be to submitting themselves to life long training and conditioning... to give themselves unrelentingly to one particular set of morals, never swaying, while all the time hold very close to them the way of bushido, the way of the warrrior, which kept their reality in bounds with the world surrounding... legitimizing their very existance as samurai - to serve. To have such loyalties to their overlord or master but yet being Ronin which left them without that very governing body... to exist only to serve essentially noone, except by those who forsake their very way of life.
its mindboggling to ponder upon such things... to even imagine such lives as they were and even keeping a slight bit of originality, or uniqueness, that is not served by the remainder of the clan... such discipline and resolve...
