I read it, Ginny! <3 (didn't watch the video, though, I know I'd be depressed;;; )
I don't know if you know, but my dog passed away in April. She was the best dog in the world, and it changed the whole family, even my aunts and uncles who didn't see her every day came by to see her when she was sick. My mom said she'd never get another dog.

But by some weird twist of fate, someone was looking at petfinder at work one day and found a chocolate lab who had been rescued from death row, basically. Like, the first in line to be euthanized. She called me asking what I thought, and I think you'd agree with me, that you don't have to replace an animal you lost, but you can do your best to give another dog a great life like Shadow had.

Now, the new dog, Bella(I know orz), definitely has some issues to work through, but she's a good dog at heart, and I'm glad my mom did it :')

Anyway, kinda tl;dr I'm sure, but I thought it was relevant lol. It makes me sad that not all animals will make it, or that they won't end up in homes that love them. I'm happy for the ones that do. You're the best, keep up the good work <3

Thank you for reading! And while I am VERY sorry for your loss, I am glad that your family helped save another animal. You're right, your old dog will never be replaced, but it is great to share your home with another animal!

BTW, hope all is well with Kamille!
