On my October 29th birthday

Reflections on another year gone by...

In the past year I have worked in the same job with three different companies. Source One Staffing, ETS and Accenture. Ever feel like a hot potato?

My son moved to Virginia and got a great job.

My daughter lived with me, and then moved to Trenton to start grad school at the same college I attended 25 years ago, Westminster Choir College.

My ex-husband remarried.

My niece had to be hospitalized for a variety of mental illnesses. She is barely a teenager.

I am doing theatre again. Yay me!

John is working with a game writing team on a LARP. I am excited for him. He has such potential!

I bought a car! And it wasn't a piece of junk (as my budget usually allows).

I saw friends marry, and/or relocate to be with their loves, I saw friends get engaged and some break up. I saw friends lose their loved ones. I saw friends expecting and bringing babies into the world. Life goes on. I am thankful for the relative good health of all my close friends and family.

I regret that I have lost touch with some of my friends, and occasionally reach out to try to find them. I am often amazed at how quickly the time is passing and wish life could slow down a little. It is seems that the days are always too short.

I eat too much. I sleep too little. I work too much. I never exercise. I play some, but need to do it more. I need to smile more. I need to laugh more. I need to sing more. I need to be more organized with personal papers.

It's a good life. I am happy. Happy Birthday to me!
