After a month without a real entry. XP
Sorry for the long-overdue entry. *gets bricked* >_<
To shortcut this past month, I...
- rappelled for the first time in my life... and it was damn fun. ^_^
- boarded a ship used during the battle at Pearl Harbor
- learned that I suck at being a goalie in football (stupid grass) and I should stick to futsal (yay for cement!)
- learned how to play a song (I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith) with a beatbox (cajon/kahon) in a few hours XD (yes, I still kinda suck at it)
- got a more-than-perfect score in one of the final exams (it was a creative group exam, so we weren't really surprised that we got a 102 out of a hundred)
- got mistaken for a cosplayer during Ozine 2007 (must have been the retractable daggers and "sparring" with Karla [she went as Ichimaru Gin and we kept stabbing each other])
Here's what's been going on in my life so far...
Early Vacation
Some of the people in our ROTC [Model] Unit + Sir Jay went for an overnight vacation in La Luz beach resort (that's in Batangas) Last April 17 & 18 so that we could relax and unwind before the dreaded Course Card Distribution (April 19)... it was love. We swam (and occasionally swallowed mouthfuls of sea water), went kayaking, pretended to be spartans on the beach (LOL) and ate dinner under the the stars at night; it's so much more beautiful when there's nothing to filter out the countless stars up there.
Drinks were passed around too after dinner, but I refused to drink except for a little Gran Matador and RC Cola for a chaser... yes, I fear getting drunk + bad hangovers. XP
We got to watch the sunrise on top of a giant rock in the beach... then went back to our villa to sleep some more. XD I was a bit bummed when we had to leave, but we did have to get back home in time for the course card distribution. XD
School Life
My grades suck. Well, not really, but I'm no longer on the Dean's List. My GPA's over 3.000, but my STATLIT's just a 1.5, so I'm not qualified; at least I have a lot of extra-curricular activities + my new position in NKK to make up for it (resume rules over transcript, after all). ^_^
Shit, I can't believe that I have to be perky in front of the incoming first years during their LPEP (I'm one of the two organization representatives who has to indirectly promote the CSO and the different organizations, especially ours). I personally have nothing against the CSO, but I seriously hope that they could make the whole script sound more natural. And less perky. Honestly, it sounds like we're from Tapat and/or Santugon. I still have to go to DLSU for rehearsals on that one.
Other things in general
- I learned that I suck at ice skating. Badly. I'll choose rollerblades any day.
- We're finally getting somewhere with our semi-crossover ~Bleach Anime/Manga/Musical~ cosplay gorup... I can't wait to practice with them, especially since we're an insane bunch. XD
- Anyone going to the Mangaholix MangaMania event to be held at Mall of Asia? I'm still deciding if it's worth going there.
- I'm still not sure if I'll go to the Yaoi Convention... as much as I find two guys together cute, it's a whole different thing when it's the same old routine of every cosplay couple dry-humping each other on-stage and calling it fanservice. Besides, it's possibly on the same day as Anime on Ice (I'll choose ice skating over yaoi any day... even if I suck at it)
