Love I've had enough of you tonight

(Title has nothing to do with anything other than my love for the Hush Sound. This entry is actually entirely about knitting related things.)

As a note, the next entry may read a little like a Dinosaur Comic, because in the absence of LJ, I took to reading them and playing Sims basically nonstop in between sleeping and watching Eureka. Not even kidding, for the last 36-odd hours, that is all that I have done. Well that and I made a candy wrapper bracelet that looks like jewels. *thumbsup*

GUYS. WHY DO I NOT HAVE THE PATIENCE TO KNIT SOCKS? Socks are so awesome! They are small and yet they can be so complicated. AND YET THEY ARE THE MOST ANNOYING THINGS TO KNIT EVER. It's not like it's even all that difficult! You're just making two exact copies of the same thing! Crocheting little dogs is more complicated than that! And there are so many awesome sock patterns out there! Like these! Or these! And making those lacey or ribbed stockings for wearing under skirts in winter would be a breeze! BUT I DO NOT HAVE THE PATIENCE FOR SOCKS. Frankly I hate them and people who knit them! AND YET I WANT TO KNIT THEM TO, I JUST CAN'T MAKE MYSELF.

WHAT A CONUNDRUM. I need a paradox machine. Or someone to hit me with a lead pipe.

Actually I may have to break down and knit these in a knee-high. My normal argument of "YOU CAN BUY IT IN THE STORE" just really doesn't apply here... ;___; Willpower, strength, whatever, I need it.

ETA: Also I want to make these. Coincidentally I might be really cold right now. ALEX STOP WEARING A TANK TOP IN THE AIR CONDITIONING, NO WONDER YOU'RE SICK.
