I'm feeling better now, for the record.
So I've been missing something musically lately. Like, I couldn't tell what it was, but I just felt like all of the music I was listening to - even the new stuff - was just old and tired and essentially the same thing all over again. This was soothed a little on occasion, but it never went away.
AND THEN I WATCHED THIS VIDEO, and something clicked when I heard Royal Crown Revue. SO I WENT AND LOOKED THEM UP ON YOUTUBE, and, well. Half a song in and I can already feel the tugging at my heartstrings and the jumping of muscles that says "GIRL YOU'RE GONNA DIG THIS".
Have a listen. It's catchy and awesome.
(I love swing music, holy crap. I blame The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy [or should I blame Voltaire?] for showing me this song at an impressionable age...)
