We headed out for a long weekend of debauchery in Las Vegas with A&C~F last weekend. US Airways and the bad weather Thursday night helped us make that a not-so-long weekend. Thankfully, US Air put us up for free in a nice hotel where we were able to enjoy 2 1/2 hours of sleep and a shower. A few gay sideshow acts and a bachelor party softened the blow of not getting to Vegas earlier.
Vegas is nothing like what I expected. Anyone in business or customer service should go to Vegas to learn How Things Should Be Done. Lines evaporate. Odd situations are dealt with quickly and quietly. We only had mediocre customer service once.
The Atomic Testing Museum rocks. It is not a lowest-common-denominator museum. It is a museum designed by nerds for nerds.
I adore the desert in the Southwestern US and really want to go back sometime soon. Being surrounded by the hills in Vegas, but not having time to venture into them was painful.
Kickaha spoils me.
Sleep. I need sleep.
