I (almost) got eaten by a kilt.
RenFaire was amazing.
There's no other way to put the awesomeness that I experienced yesterday.
Seeing as I was over at Mizu's house, we woke up at around seven thirty to get ready for RenFaire and stuff, seeing as the Kvinges were picking us up at 9:15ish. After noshing on some bagel (and a cup of coffee for me) we downloaded some music via LimeWire (L'Arlesienne Suite FTW) the Kvinges arrived and we all piled into a five-seater car. With seven people.
We got there just as the gates were opening, and there was a man there with a giant tomato on the end of a staff. Chiyo-Chichi would have DIED Various musicians were playing "What Shall We Do With A Drunken Sailor" in which a Captain Jack Sparrow and a faerie queen were dancing to. This also lead to the most interesting exchange between me and the Captain:
Jack: Got any weapons on you, any weapons?
Nicole: Well...I dunno, but if you want to check...*lifts up hem of skirt*
Jack: *eyes get big* Well, that is if you don't mind...
And then later, because I forgot I had done this earlier:
Nicole: Oh, Captain! I forgot something!
Jack: Hmm? Oh, you again.
Nicole: *takes out small pirate flag from chest region of shirt* This. *waves*
Jack: ....*eyes get big* That is to spear my heart on, yes?
Nicole: But of course, Captain.
XD Anyhow, the Lost Boys weren't performing for another hour, so we decided to go browsing through the different shops, which eventually lead us to a fur shop, where we all got tails. Mine's a Japanese fox tail which is going on my bookbag and Krystal's is a lemur and Mizu's is a mink tail. After attaching them to our backsides (and helping Krystal recuperate from all the fox bags/tails/merchandise), we trudged up the hill to the pirate ship shop, where Krystal and I pooled together to buy teal-lined handcuffs. Then, the stage of the Lost Boys, where we were sitting first row. And then they opened.
And let me just say this:

I AM SO WON OVER. CONVERTED HARDCORE KTHNX.
All four concerts were amazing. Angus and the tree are getting married one day. ("Never get between a Scotsman and his wood!") And I ALMOST GOT EATEN BY HIS KILT which I did not mind AND STUFF. Poor Krystal was exhausted by the last concert; she was sprawled over me and Mizu both during half of it, which was alright seeing as I was filming the show and therefore did not want to move.
The Lost Boys = best huggers ever. END OF STORY KTHNX BAI.
Between concerts, we perused the shops some more, and I got my boots fixed by a really nice dude in a leather shop (now they're not as loose! Yay!) and I got a teal leather flower with actual rose scenting (it will smell for the next four years!) And OMFG QUEEN'S APPLE SO GOOD YAY. I haven't had a caramel apple in three years and that was the best one I've ever had.
But my neck hurts LIKE A MOTHER because I headbanged to "I Do, I Will" like a madwoman. SO. SORE. IN. THE. NECK. TT___TT
So yes. RenFaire rocked. And I will totally be going back before it ends.
