We have a plan.
C'mon, Ginger. How about enthusiasm...
Oh. Yeah. A PLAN!
After the really good e-mail between my advisor and me, I can actually getting on with this graduation stuff.
Internship? If I can find the paperwork and contract and put together a log, we can run with it. (It's still in the packing boxes, but, I'm SURE it's in there. somewhere.) I MAY have to contact my previous job and have the management sign off the paperwork. Usually, it means they're DONE with me. Good for both of us.
Thesis? My advisor says that an Alternate Paper is cool; I just need to take 1 more credit somewhere. On the AP? The secondary research is done; if I set up a primary research study for someone else, it's cool. Which means a Thesis wet dream for some lucky other student. *grin* It's neat that I'm making someone else happier in the process!
Language requirement? JAVA sounds like a plan. I've taken the Intro to Computer Programming already, and a B from MSU would work for any Tech college. Two semesters of computer language will fit the requirement. I'm very thankful that I'm taking a written-only language. French? Uh. No. I have this problem with ENGLISH, already, and we're not going to Paris any time soon.
That other credit? If I take another class in something that fits my program, my advisor would be happy to set up a 1-credit Independent Study. I turn in good grades and a log/paper to cover the study, and it's non-grade. Get Bs and life is good. I need to take at least another class each semester to make part-time enrollment, which means I can sign up for Financial Assistance.
Which means? Classes in DreamWeaver and InDesign, I think. That would be very cool. I've worked on FrontPage, did pages in MS Word and saved as HTML, and taken in Writing for the Web at MSU; DreamWeaver is the next thing. I like it already. InDesign is the hot thing in Desktop Publishing, and I've already taken classes - and worked with at my job - in QuarkXPress, Pagemaker, and FrameMaker. Makes sense to me, cause I LOVE this stuff!
The school? If it works, Rasmussen College is about four blocks away.
I think we might have something here. Might, maybe, possibly. Hell, let's do SOMETHING, already!
I am Pook! Hear me... Um... Hm... what do Pooks do?
Squeak?
No. Needs to be louder. And...
And, what?
Less irritating.
Oh. Roar?
Yeah, that sounds good.
Okay.
ROAR!!
