This morning, I dropped my boy at school-- BlueCross University, of course-- and I was weird enough to tell him to have a good day at school. Yes, you knew I was a dork, didn't you? : )
He handed in most of the paperwork-- W2s, personal info, confidentiality agreement, yada yada-- but I want to get the insurance stuff done. We have coverage with the OldPlace until July 6th, and we have coverage by BlueCross starting today, so things seem fine, but I want to make sure the transition goes smoothly. It would be nice to stay on the list since I got there pretty easily this time.
We won't have to get up at god awful anymore! Sleeping in until 7:00 is a nice thing. Gunthar will be working 8:00-4:30, so he'll be out early enough so we can actually do things during the week. Since I'll be on Disability, most likely, until I graduate next Spring (unless I snag a paid Internship), we'll still be broke, but it's not frighteningly live-in-a-cardboard-box kind of thing.
Eating and living indoors are good. You don't really appreciate being able to pay the bills until you can't.
My communication skills have gotten to the point where it could be called a speech impediment. I still miss stuff occasionally, especially when I'm in the middle of an animated conversation or a crowded room. I lag often; by the time I have something to say, the subject has flown out of the room.
I'm getting to the point that I'm telling myself to go out and get a job. It's a guilt thing, I guess, since I'm not providing much to the finances. I ended up deciding to take the summer off. Volunteerism, possibly, clearing out the boxes and putting the contents away, clearing up the details of an Independant Study I did a couple of years ago, working on my Alternate Plan paper, reading, stitching, watching movies without the captions... But my brain isn't challenged like it is when I'm actually working. If I'm not getting paid to do it, it's not work. Bleh.
Now off the do the housewifey stuff: Buy groceries, drugs (they're all prescriptions, more's the pity), stamps, and some crafty stuff. Oh, and to finish off a sampler. Hey,
chebutykin! would you be at home tomorrow evening?
